So I as I walk out the door the headache hit. Get in the car and gave myself enough time so I could get lost. Looked at the map and noticed I was not going to the courthouse right in downtown but the courthouse across the highway. I hate Dallas. They have THREE courthouses!
It is actually better to go the other one as it is a straight shot from the apt. Just jump on the highway, take another highway right before getting into town, drive to the end and there's the street I need to be on. But the map said turn right, not left. After about a quarter mile and seeing low-life buildings on the left instead of a courthouse I did the u-turn and went back the way I came. There it was. Took the closer parking garage.
People actually thought I knew where I was going because of my purposeful stride. Didn't have the heart to tell them they needed to read the signs BEFORE they got to them and follow the arrows. Imagine, asking people to read and follow instructions! What a concept!
So, go through the metal detector, walk to the Jury 'holding pen', tear off the ticket, shove it in the window and not wait for the instructions I had already heard before when observing the idiots standing around stupidly.
Gigantic holding pen. Find a seat way in the back but in the aisle so I can straighten out my poor gimped leg.
More later. Headache has been with me since I stepped out today.
